Updating

I have amazing friends! I've got such a great support system and I know I can count on them for anything - including a great baby shower!! I got some killer gifts on Sunday and feel so blessed to have them all in my life! Here are a couple pics from the shower...

Here's my awesome monitor that I'm seriously so excited about!

And Jackson helping me open my gifts. He had so much fun!

Aaron came over after I got home and brought it all in, helped me open boxes and cut tags off and start some laundry. We're getting there and we're both so ready for her to be here!! Seriously! I do still need a few things so my mama is taking me shopping tomorrow night to wrap up my *needs*. Love her.

Jackson and Brodie got to play together all day Saturday and were both just in Heaven! Of course they fought a few times like little boys do but both were genuinely sad to leave each other. It kinda broke my heart [like usual...] Aaron and I sat down and had a good heart to heart last night. I feel a million times better having things off my chest. It's one thing to vent to friends and to blog my feelings and emotions but to lay it all out for him felt amazing. I'm very confident at this point that things will happen how they are supposed to happen - whatever that may be. I just feel good knowing that I've done my share and the rest is out of my control.

Things at work have been rough. A little boy that was only a few months old died on Friday. What makes it worse is that mom is more relieved to not have him here. It breaks my heart to see a parent not take care of their child and am having a really hard time dealing with his death.

I had Jackson make a card for baby Adelyn the other day. He had so much fun making it and I know I'm going to have so much fun scrapbooking it :)

This has been a choppy blog. I'm playing with Jackson, uploading pics, and trying to finish packing my hospital bag all at the same time. Yikes. So I'll finish with some belly pics and hope these contractions are fake and don't keep me up all night!

WOW! what a great blog to read. It's good to hear that you and Aaron had a nice sit down talk together. I'm sure he feels better knowing how you really feel about everything. I can just about imagine how anxious, excited, scared, happy and every other emotion you both are having. When I think about you having your baby, it makes me think back to when I was just counting down the days. And when the day came, I sat in my hospital bed counting down the hrs. and then the minutes for the nurses to come and get me to take me to the operating room. I wish you and Aaron the best of luck. I pray that you deliver a beautiful, healthy baby girl and I hope you have a flawless operation. I will be praying for all of you : )

Okay I added a link to my blog. Basically if you join (the more months you sign up for, the cheaper it is), you'll get an e-mail and you'll choose between two kits. Then she'll send it to your house. From what I can tell the kits are jam packed with stuff. I found out about it from Darcy's page (I think I found her on Rene's page). But anyway...you should check it out. And Darcy has a couple of posts about pages she's done with her Serendipity Kits.

Mine didn't come last night, maybe tonight!

Yea the zoo is one of those places you go and start reliving elementary school field trips. Good times. Even if we are mid-twenties :)
